We will teach you the basics of working with clay to make functional or decorative ceramics. This is a two hour class and its good for ages 6 and up. Cost covers instruction, use of studio facilities, clay and glazing materials and firing of your project.
Class includes an overview of clay properties, a demo of at least one construction technique. We will vary techniques during each season so that class will always be a little different. Construction techniques includes coil building, slab building, pinch pot, stacking, or sculpting. The instruction is followed by a hands-on session to complete one project of your own choosing (a coffee mug, a bowl, a plate, a spoon rest, a name plate etc.) Seasonally we will demonstrate bird feeders, leaves, pumpkins, dessert bowls, or snowflakes.
Additional projects can be made by paying an extra $7 per piece made for the clay and firing. You can come back after 2 weeks for another 2 hour session and learn how to glaze/paint your pieces for an extra $10, otherwise we will glaze it for you in our blue food safe house glaze, pieces will be ready for pick up in 21 days. The choice to make it yourself is yours.

Deposits are credited towards your class total and refunded if you cancel up to 48 hours before the class.
